You are expected to keep your dog or service animal under control AT ALL TIMES' this means in a crate, on a leash, or when working in the capacity of a service animal, explicitly under voice command or leash. You are expected to clean up after your dog or service animal (i.e., clean up their poop– NOBODY wants to step in doggie doo in their medieval shoes. Ewwww). If your animal is violent or aggressive, you will be required to remove your animal from the site, and the Event Steward (Mistress Ilaria) is granted the authority to make that determination. Let's ensure that this event is safe and pleasant for all attendees– animals and people.
- Alcohol Policy: The site is wet. Please drink responsibly and take care of one another.

Baronial Arts and Science Championship
Greeting, Barony of Andelcrag!
I, THL Adallisia moglie di Simon Varzi, have held the honor of Baronial Arts and Sciences Champion for three years due to the unprecedented times we have all been living in. As the plague that has been our lands for over two years begins to recede, hope begins to bloom. With hope, must come change. Our wonderful leaders, Baron Raymond and Baroness Zubaida, have asked the populace to consider displaying their amazing talents at Baronial Border War on June 4th so that they may select the next Baronial Arts and Sciences Champion. Two facilitate this process, I am issuing the following challenge:
Bring three items to display:
- Pandemic Project: This is one piece that you completed during you time in confinement from the plague. There is no limit to what this piece may be, only that it represents an art or science that is pre 17th century. Documentation is encouraged, but not mandatory.
- A Work in Progress: We all have projects that show our craft but have never managed to finish them to our satisfaction. These are wonderful pieces that can show a range of talent and experimentation. Displaying and receiving feedback can reignite our passion to actual complete them!
- Dedicated to the Baron and/or Baroness: This is a piece that either represents the martial arts or the cooking arts. Sir Raymond has been a pillar in the martial community and a piece that is representative of the martial arts is a tribute to his accomplishments. his could be weapons, armor, clothing, and more! Mistress Zubaida has delighted the Kingdom for years with her amazing skills in cooking and research (and contributed to many expanding waistlines). A piece that focuses on the art of cooking is an honorable way to recognize the inspiration that she has been to all the cooks in the Kingdom. This could be a dish you have recreated, research you have done, or even notes from a class you have taught!
But what if I don’t have these three items?
- True art is rarely contained in categories or boxes. Bring what you have to display anyway! Hidden talent is always a treasure to discover and foster, so please do not hesitate to enter even if you cannot meet the challenge I have proposed.
I hope you all will consider displaying your talents and I look forward to learning about more arts that are being done throughout the Barony!

You MUST pre-register by May 23 for CABINS-
This is a rustic site. Things are old. It's a working farm. You will see some chickens (and hear roosters and other fowl) and goats. Things are dirty, but reasonably clean. There are raccoons and coyotes and squirrels. You might see a mouse. If you bring your own food, make sure to bring a mouse/raccoon proof container. If you leave food on your picnic table, there is no guarantee it will be there in the morning (take it from the Event Steward’s personal experience). You will be camping in the woods – so expect to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
- Camping: ample camping space in a gorgeous woodland setting, with many locations having running water and access to electricity
- Cabin Rental:
- You need to bring bedding. All of the beds are either twin size or full size. We can tell you what is in the room you book if you ask. Things to think about bringing bed sheets, blanket or sleeping bag, pillow, towel, wash cloth.
- There are showers. There are 5 showers in the building with the private rooms (Swallows). One is wheelchair accessible. There are 8 showers in the common bath houses if you are staying in shared cabins or camping. Fighters may also choose to use the common bath house showers, but we will need to pace these as the septic field capacity is for 100 people. Consider taking a medieval rinse in Stewart Lake (but please, do not use soap in the lake, let's be gentle with the flora and fauna). Look at housing options here.
- Cancellation policy:
- More than 45 days before the event = 10% cancellation fee, we will refund the rest
- 44-30 days before the event = 50% cancellation fee, we will refund the rest
- Less than 30 days before the event = 80% cancellation fee, we will refund the rest
